The Nature Friends Los Angeles Clubhouse and Dormitory is available, on a selective basis, for meetings, retreats, weddings, workshops, seminars, birthday parties or dinners/picnics.

Clubhouse Amenities 

Dance Floor / Large Meeting Room with Stage

Our “Big Room” is a spacious (30ft x 30ft) wood-paneled space with its own raised stage, surround sound audio system, and breathtaking views of the grounds and surrounding mountains. The room can accommodate up to 70 persons.


Outdoor patio area

An outdoor patio area with picnic tables set under shady oak and with alder trees capable of accommodating ceremonies of up to 120 people.

Fully equipped kitchen

A fully equipped kitchen including a commercial 10-burner Wolf stove with 2 ovens, dishes, cutlery, microwave, coffee brewers, pots, pans and serving dishes.

Indoor dining room

A charming dining room with tables capable of seating 70 persons.

Indoor/outdoor bar

An indoor/outdoor bar equipped with refrigerators, freezer, serving counter, beer keg cooler and bar serving utensils.

Overnight accommodations

Our dormitory includes two private bathrooms with joined bathrooms complete with their own private showers. In addition there is a bunk room with three bunk beds. Additional showers for bunk room guests are in attached shower room. 

In addition to our dormitory, there is space on the property for setting out additional bedrolls and sleeping bags. 

Washer and drier are also available for overnight guests. 

Parking

Parking spaces (in 3 lots) for up to 20 cars. Unlimited parking is available within a few minutes drive. Shuttle services can be arranged.

1. Mount Wilson Trail

  • Location: Trailhead at the end of East Mira Monte Avenue, Sierra Madre, CA
  • Description: This historic and challenging trail offers spectacular views of the San Gabriel Valley and, on clear days, all the way to the ocean. The trail is steep and strenuous, leading up to Mount Wilson Observatory at the top.
  • Difficulty: Hard
  • Distance: ~14 miles round trip (with options to go shorter distances)

2. Bailey Canyon Trail to Jones Peak

  • Location: Bailey Canyon Wilderness Park, Sierra Madre, CA
  • Description: This trail winds through Bailey Canyon and provides a challenging ascent to Jones Peak. Hikers are rewarded with stunning views over Sierra Madre and the surrounding valleys. The trail includes a mix of shaded and exposed areas.
  • Difficulty: Moderate to Hard
  • Distance: ~6 miles round trip

3. Little Santa Anita Canyon Trail

  • Location: Start at the Mount Wilson Trail Park, Sierra Madre, CA
  • Description: Following Little Santa Anita Canyon, this trail offers beautiful canyon views, peaceful creek crossings, and a rich variety of native plant life. It eventually connects with the Mount Wilson Trail.
  • Difficulty: Moderate to Hard (depending on how far you go)
  • Distance: Flexible; shorter sections or up to 14 miles round trip to Mount Wilson

4. Chantry Flat to Sturtevant Falls

  • Location: Chantry Flat, Arcadia (near Sierra Madre), CA
  • Description: Starting from the Chantry Flat area, this trail leads through lush, shaded forest areas and ends at the beautiful Sturtevant Falls. It’s a well-loved spot for hikers and has lots of natural scenery.
  • Difficulty: Moderate
  • Distance: ~3.5 miles round trip
